I am Yuzo Tashiro, Mate.JP representative.
I moved to Australia in 2017, retired at the end of 2018 and worked as an assistant coach for the last Australian team I played for.
In 2020 I moved to Sydney and opened a children’s football school which is called MateFC.
The new coronavirus made it difficult for us to work, but we got back to normal and in 2022 I set up my own company, Mate.JP, and started my own business in Australian-Japanese football, including touring and other football-related activities. I have come to Australia and discovered the good things about this country, and now I love it.
Of course I love Japan too.
I had played football in Japan for a long time, which has allowed me to make contacts in many different places, and in Australia I have met many people and made many football-related acquaintances.
I believe it is my mission to convey the goodness of Australia to Japan and the goodness of Japan to Australia through football.
